Congratulations to Ms. Romisa Hill and Mr. Joshua Yelder.  They were awarded with the 2010 scholarship from the Montgomery Chapter of AFCEA (Armed Forces Communication and Electronics Association).

The Montgomery AFCEA Chapter is the premiere information technology organization in the River Region. The members work hard to create a positive impact in the Montgomery area by raising funds that are used for individual scholarships and internships, technology grants to local schools, and investment in regional initiatives to help build a world class technical workforce. They also enjoy networking opportunities with Montgomery industry, military and academic leaders at our events and Chapter meetings. Many of our members also take advantage of the numerous leadership opportunities within the Chapter management structure, experiencing great personal satisfaction and unmatched professional and career development.

COBA Students Visit Alabama State Docks

& Defense Contractor In Mobile

College of Business students, as part of the International Business Grant, toured the facilities at Alabama State Docks.  Information helped students to understand the critical factors of import and export for the economy of Alabama. From agricultural products from Alabama and grain from the mid-west to steel from Germany and parts from Korea, international trade is critical to our future.

Students also toured Austal, a leading defense contractor, building the latest fast attack destroyers in the Mobile area.  They saw the latest technology and engineering on display.
