Student Assessment

The Student Outcome Assessment Program (SOAP) at the College of Business Administration is multifaceted.  It consists of formal and informal assessments of student progress.  It encompasses ASU's Exit Exams in Business called the Junior and Senior Exit Exams, and the Educational Testing Service's Major Field Test in Business, called the Senior Comprehensive Exam.  These examinations are required as a partial fulfillment of the requirements for a degree in business administration.  The SOAP at COBA is also used to evaluate programs, courses of study, effectiveness of teachers, and the need for curricular changes.

The purpose of the Junior and Senior Exit Exams is to assess students' progress in their junior and senior years.  The Junior Exit Exam is common for all COBA majors, while the Senior Exit Exam is given separately for each of the five degree areas in COBA.
